Were it not for Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant, Knott’s Berry Farm would not be the beloved, world class theme park it has become. To entertain guests waiting for a seat at his wife, Cordelia’s, popular restaurant, Walter Knott began erecting a collection of modest old west buildings that established the basis of Ghost Town. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant now features a full service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails. With décor that pays homage to the Garden Dining Room that preceded it, the bar is at once rustic and modern, and a great place to retire to after a day of fun in the park. The large dining room to the right of the entrance has been remodeled with a look inspired by Mrs. Knott’s kitchen pantry. Nods to Cordelia’s home kitchen, including a potbelly stove, rustic furnishings, and seating arrangements for large parties evoke themes of warmth, family, and togetherness.

In 2023, the family-run operation Les Sisters moved into a larger facility bordering Northridge, Chatsworth, and Winnetka. When it reopens on May 6, Dinah’s Family Restaurant will be renamed Dinah’s Kitchen. The change comes from a desire to expand the restaurant’s offerings and begin to experiment with the menu beyond diner classics. (Ernst hopes to connect with chefs across the country to feature their dishes on the menu.) The new location will also focus on using local ingredients in its dishes. While Dinah’s used canned vegetables and pie fillings, the restaurant will now source fresh produce and work with local farms.

Guests with Premium All Day Dining will also receive a Drink Wristband for unlimited Coca-Cola® fountain beverage refills every 15 minutes. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. One of Disneyland’s best restaurants opened in 1966, making it the oldest Cajun destination on this list.
